Receiving Bottle

Vacuum Filtration Process

Seal: Place the filter paper or filter bag on the filter plate. Pre-wet it with a small amount of solvent to ensure a tight seal against the sealing edge.

Evacuate: Start the vacuum pump to establish the required pressure differential inside the system.

Feed: Introduce the slurry mixture into the funnel.

Filter: The pressure differential drives the liquid phase through the filter paper/bag, while solid particles are retained on the filter plate to form a filter cake.

Discharge: Continue vacuum drying to remove residual solvent before discharging the filtrate and recovering the filter cake.
