Fume Hood

To protect lab environment and operators during general chemical applications.

A chemical fume hood (fume cupboard) is a specific type of air ventilation system equipped with powerful and energy-efficient fans and high-quality filtration media. This hood primarily functions to enact as a safety engineering control and provide protection from fumes, particulate, and dust against personnel. Secondarily, these fume hoods are built to protect users from application hazards such as fires, chemical spills, and adverse reactions.

Product Classification

Lab1st provide both ducted and recirculating (ductless) fume hoods. The principle is the same for both types: air is drawn in from the front (open) side of the cabinet, and either expelled outside the building or made safe through filtration and fed back into the room.

Ducted Fume Hood

Ducted Fume Hood should connect to a remote exhaust system to safely ventilate outside the building. It employ multiple filters (optional) and a strong fan. It’s suitable when there’s a potential for being exposed to high volumes of particulate and toxic fumes.

Ductless Fume Hoods

Ductless fume hoods capture and remove contaminants and send clean, filtered air back into the lab without the need for external venting. Its air filtration systems are designed to keep harmful airborne contaminants away from the operator's respiratory zone while they work within the hood.

All Lab1st fume hoods are equipped with microprocessor control system, LED display, memory function in case of power-failure and LED lamp for illumination.

 

They all meet the international safe standards for face volecity 0.3~0.8m/s.

LFH Series (Ducted, benchtop)
Available: 25"

  • Folding acrylic front window, down part with free stop function.

  • Built-in centrifugal blower

  • Interlock function: UV lamp and blower, LED lamp. (Only for choosing UV lamp).

  • Note: Experiments with strong acids and alkali, flammable  or explosive substances cannot be conducted with this type fume hood.

LFH-E Series (Ducted, economical)
Available: 31", 39", 51", 63"

  • Adjustable air speed: 9 levels.

  • Resistant to moderate acid and alkali.

  • Manual front glass window, height adjustable.

  • Built-in PP centrifugal blower; low noise, easy installation.

LFH-P Series (Ducted, Porcelain white PP)

  • It is safer to use anti-corrosive water tap.

  • Microprocessor control system, LED display.

  • With memory function in case of power-failure.

  • Made of porcelain white PP, resistant to acid, alkali and anti-corrosion.

  • Front window which is made of 5mm thick transparent toughened glass maximize light and visibility inside the fume hood, providing a bright and open working environment.
